Cheeky sign we saw on the way - it's the other bloody way!

Up hill, down dale, Jim and I huffed and puffed our way from the great Londinium, through the likes of Wivelsfield all the way to the shreiks of the crowds in Brighton. Thanks to everyone who sponsored us - we clocked up £555 for the British Heart Foundation, so your tickers can rest safe.

I think my favourite bit was actually the preamble. Cycling from Finsbury Park early on bright Sunday morning was lovely. I’ve never seen it so quiet (apart from in 28 Days Later, but no zombies here!) - really nice feeling as more and more cyclists started appearing on the roads as we got closer to the starting point in Clapham. The ride itself was hot but lovely - we even did some cheeky off-roading to beat one of the bottlenecks at the foot of a hill.

If you’re in the mood, there’s some pics of our exploits on Flickr here
